Our Town by Thornton Wilder

A heartfelt play about life, love, and community in the small town of Grover’s Corners, highlighting the beauty of ordinary moments.

What the play is about?

Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town is a timeless exploration of life’s beauty and fragility, set in the small town of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire.

Narrated by the “Stage Manager,” the play follows the lives of the Gibbs and Webb families over twelve years, capturing the simplicity of daily life, the joy of love and marriage, and the heartbreak of loss.

Through its relatable characters and universal themes, Our Town delivers powerful truths about what it means to be human. As Emily Webb poignantly reflects, “Oh, earth, you’re too wonderful for anyone to realize you.”
